Fascism.
If the people pay attention to their political process, they can control socialism. Socialism is, after all, government by and for the people rather than government by and for the corporatocracy (which was Hitler's form of fascism)
Which should we be more worried about creeping socialism or creeping fascism?
Socialism is a far greater threat... the combination is even worse... ask the late 30s to mid 40s Germans....
Reply:Let's worry about keeping democracy.
Reply:Neither.
These things don't have power unless people support them. If a majority of people have decided that they're a good idea, then maybe its a good idea.
Reply:Worry about neither. Oppose both.
Reply:Over the last seven years definitely fascism. Although I think that wave is ebbing.
Don't confuse socialism with Soviet Communism or Stalinism.
We have lots of socialism in America - although most Americans don't understand the term and have been taught to fear an loathe anything labeled socialism.
Reply:Both.
Reply:Creeping socialism might be the right way to express it, but creeping fascism isn't. Fascism isn't "creeping" in America today... it's marching down main street USA. It's in the halls, in the taverns, in the churches and in the market-place... and it's not going away unless All Americans band together to thwart its advances.
Fascism is the bigger threat. Far...far... bigger.
Reply:Both. i like neither one.
Reply:Creeping ignorance.
Reply:Both.
I despise both of them too.
Reply:I think it will be a combination of all three. Socialism, Communism and Fascism. The people have fought all three, but ............at separate times. More like a staging event perhaps. It still seems to all come back to Fiat currency. It seems with it we maintain perpetual war. And as most ppl like to point out the three listed examples of what most refer to as govt types, are indeed types of "economic systems" as well.
Reply:well, socialism rules many european countries with no big dilemmas, but fascist states usually have mass graves.
Reply:Socialism is the disease that caused the fall of the Soviet Union and if the government runs our lives, well look at how Congress is doing now.
Reply:Still stuck in the 20th century are we?
Reply:Neither, but rather the rhetoric that causes people to think that way.
Reply:well,Nazi Germany was a socialist republic so go figure it out yourself...
