My friend is creeping me out?

ok one of my very good friends admitted to me earlier today that she has a big crush on my dad. she says it cuz he looks like the guy who plays superman in lois and clark and he treats her nicer then her dad does. My dad took us to the mall today and he called her "honey," just like he always does me, and ALL DAY all she did was talk about how hot my dad is and she told me that she had a crush on him for a long time. i sorta figured she did cuz she's always staring at him and talking about how nice he is but now that she admitted it, it completely freaks me out. i think it's wierd and it kinda makes me mad. i dont know how im supposed to feel about this. please help if you have any advice. is this supposed to be bugging me this much?

Your dad is probably good looking but you don't see it cuz hes your dad. I would be freaked out too, I would tell your dad and then I would try and get my friend interested in some other guy even if you don't like him but she likes that guy then pretend you do and go on how hot that guy is insted of your dad. Don't let her see your dad for while as well like don't invite her over for dinner or a sleepover anytime soon go for it if it's at her house but not yours. And next time you go to the mall get your dad tp drop you off and meet your friend there.

Reply:Well, it's always difficult to think of one's parents as having any sexual properties whatsoever, and to have your friend express those feelings does feel a little like incest.

Reply:uh, yea it is. It is sometimes normal to think someone's dad is cute or whatever but she is going a little overboard and is bordering on creepy. Just tell her that you don't feel comfortable hearing her talk about your dad that way. She is probably trying to compensate for lack of dad at home.
Reply:Your dad could be really good looking but since he's your dad you don't see it. What I suggest is that you talk with her and tell her you're uncomfortable with how she talks about your dad. I also suggest that you talk with your dad about it. If she makes some type of move on your dad and he turns her down then there could be hard feelings and accustations. And yes it does bug you a lot cause really whos wants to think about that??
Reply:Talk to your dad about this. It is quite normal that she has a crush, but she has to know that your dad has no feelings for her and the crush will run it's course. In time she will find another love, until then just don't pay her any attention and in time this too shall pass.
Reply:Not much different than a boy thinking his friend's mom is hot.


A couple of things to try.


1. Tell you dad without mentioning it to your friend. This could have some pretty interesting side-effects. (i.e., She could be so embarrassed that she never speaks to you again. She might think that, since your dad already knows, that it's alright to make a play for him.)


2. Next time your friend mentions it, just say "gross." And, "we really need to find you a boyfriend."
Reply:well...i guess its ok for some of your friends to think your dad is hot...cuz a lot of girls do that to me...they say my dad looks like the rock off of wwf...and i really get mad...so just teller that...you dont feel comfortable about her talkin about your dad like she is his wife or something...teller to calm down...and try not to talk too much about him...in front of you...cuz i know wat you are feeling...you want to kill her and tell her stop...cuz its making you o so very angry..

Reply:You should talk to you dad about it. He should be aware of it because if she tried doing something inappropriate and he turned her down there could be some bad feelings and things happen.
