What is "the creeping thing?"?

In Genesis 1:4 it states Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind"; and it was so.

What is "the creeping thing?"?
Creepy crawlies. Bugs, insects, lizards, worms, and other small creatures.

Reply:I would think they mean bugs and the like, but who knows, if you will take another look at the Bible you will see that they also thought that bugs only had four legs. Who knows what the hell they were thinking.
Reply:That's probably one of my favorite lines from the Bible: "Everything creeping thing that creepeth on the Earth." I guess I'm easily amused. It just refers to animals and bugs.
