Stopping RUGS creeping along the carpet?

I have problems with rugs and runners, these with rubber backs, creeping along the carpets. Has anyone found a quick and inexpensive solution.

Stopping RUGS creeping along the carpet?
My mother has these all round the house and they work like a charm - they don't shift unless you really give it some welly!

Reply:The Rug Seller has a huge range of size's in their Anti Slip underlay collection. Anti Slip underlay can be used on hard floor coverings and on carpets or other textiles. It can be easily trimmed to size and is fully washable. Visit http://www.therugseller.co.uk/... Report It

Reply:'Fraid not. Mines got a mind of it's own. I put it straight and then 20 minutes later it's buggered off over the other side of the room. Creepy!!!
Reply:I've tried these thin mats, but they do not work all that well. I've also used those pieces of thin rubber, with little claws on each side. They don't work, either.

I have used sticky tape, sticky on both sides, and that does seem to work quite well. Unfortunately, it will leave awful marks on the carpet if and when you decide to move, or remove, the rug.

If you find a better solution, let me know !!
Reply:walmart has thin mats to put under rugs that keep them in place
Reply:Use double sided sticky tape from all diy shops
Reply:use adhesive Velcro on the underside of the rug.
Reply:Try-ed all those answers above' doesn't work,

.visualise carpets are mostly made up of artificial fibres' .

that slide like a halter skelter' when your body weight is on it..

Spray some kind of invisible sticky substance on the path, it is as good as the above mention.
