"creeping throw rugs"?

How can I stop my throw rugs from "creeping" across my carpet when I walk on them ? They all move a little every time I walk on them. Eventually they get next to a wall or a piece of furniture and I have to straighten them out and move them back where I want them in the room. Any suggestions?

There are under-lays that stop the creeping, they are light rubber %26amp; can be found at everthing from Big Lots to Bed, Bath %26amp; Beyond.
Reply:Try using Felt Sponge on the back of your rug. This should effectively stop it from sliding on your carpet or hardwood floorsI use this all the time on my Drum set to keep it from sliding when i hit the base pedal.
Reply:you definitely need a rug pad:

Reply:they sell a rubber backing at walmart comes in a roll and all you have to do is cut it to fit the size of your rug then put rug on top of the backing and bingo no more slipping or sliding , it would be up to you to pick it up and move it
