Creeping hydranga?

How do you look after these plants do they need cutting right back down to the ground in winter.

Creeping hydranga?
Hydrangea petiolaris is the most common variety of Hydrangea used for wall cover. Do NOT cut it back over Winter. You can prune to shape if it is growing against a wall, arbor, trellis etc, apart from that leave it alone.
Reply:What you have is a climbing hydrang ... in the spring take off all the dead heads and just leave it to grow
Reply:let the flowers die back in winter. dont cut as this will provide frost protection, then prune back in the spring.
