How long after your child started creeping did he or she begin to crawl?

My daughter is 9 months old and has been creeping for about a week and a half. By creeping, I mean moving around by using her arms and legs but keeping her belly flat against the floor. I wonder if she will ever crawl. She doesn't seem interested in doing so.

How long after your child started creeping did he or she begin to crawl?
Some babies do the ''wounded solider'' move lol...I know a couple of babies that do/did that and usually the ones that do that go straight to walking.
Reply:my son went from creeping to walking. he started creeping at 91/2 months and started walking at 12 months. your daughter may never crawl, not all babies do and it's very normal.
Reply:My little guy never did creep... and he wasn't interested in crawling (much more interested in trying to stand and walk at first) until he realized that it was the most efficient way to chase the cat! I absolutely credit her for 'teaching' him to crawl!


I'll bet the creeping is cute... enjoy! But if you really want her to crawl, try demonstrating for her - try to get her to chase you or go after her favorite toy. Have fun!
Reply:My 9 month old is crawling, she started sitting alone for about a month when she was 7 months old, it did take a while for her to actually go somewhere. Every baby is different, don't get discouraged.
